TruGround provides expertise in both digital and analog design to meet the needs of your ideas. Wether you just need a single service or the entire design process, TruGround is ready to deliver.
If you have any questions about our services or would like a project estimation, feel free to contact us any time.
Contact UsTruGround has extensive experience working with microcontroller applications. Knowledge in many microcontroller architectures such as AVR, ARM, and PIC, will help with the key decision to choose the right processor. Designing for microcontrollers has many more important aspects than just choosing the right processor. Each subsystem is crucial to the success of the system and requires special detail for each one:
Without a stable power supply, the entire system will not work properly. Special care must be taken to ensure the power supply is designed to provide for the rest of the system. This is very important especially for todays high speed electronics where stability and low noise are crucial for a successful design.
It is very common to have microcontrollers collect data from the outside world. This cannot be done without sensors. Choosing the correct sensors that will interface correctly and easily with a processor can be a challenge but will save on component cost and board space.
Interfaces such as USB and Ethernet are critical for inter-device communication. Design for these systems requires detail to signal integrity and component layout.
Analog circuitry is very important when it comes to designing power supplies, data conversion, motor control, and sensor interfaces. Many devices require signal conditioning before it can be sent to a microcontroller.
TruGround provides several services for PCB design including: schematic capture, bill of materials, PCB layout, and PCB assembly. We have experince using different CAD software packages such as Eagle, and DesignSpark with Altium's Circuit Studio being the primary tool.
TruGround will work closely with you and your engineers to ensure component placement and board design meet the electrical and mechanical specifications of your project. We have experience in designing multilayer, high speed boards where signal integrity must be taken into account. We can also assist you in finding the right PCB manufacturer that will meet volume needs.
Systems that require flexible or configurable hardware may need the versatility of programmable logic devices. TruGround has experience designing many custom architectures for a wide range of applications including Audio processing, and other custom processors.
The use of FPGA development software allows designing and testing integration to happen concurrently. With simulations and testbenches, design verification can be ensured before the use of any hardware. TruGround is fully capable of designing custom IP blocks and modules or integrating 3rd party IP cores for use. Simulations and timing analysis can be provided depending on the needs of the clients.
TruGround has several years of experience building firmware for various applications. For small processor systems with limited memory, it is important to write code efficiently and manage the memory properly. Being experts in several languages such as C/C++, Assembly, and VHDL, TruGround can design smart systems in small firmware applications or for time critical devices that need real-time operating systems or parallel processing with FPGA devices.
In some more math intensive applications, a DSP processor is necessary. Our knowledge of digital signal processing algorithms will lead to the desired signal conditioning for your system. Many of the algorithms and desired responses can be modeled using MATLAB® for both time and frequency domains.
